Onshore, Stavanger
Back on land. Had a very nice trip back from the oil rig. We took off with 48 knots of wind, they close the Heli-port at 50 knots.. And even though there had been two emerigancies the day before, we got home safe.

This is where I sleep. The living module is now always built on the oposite side of the flare and not abowe any process equiptment, like on Piper Alpha...

The waves was about 10 meters+
One of the new life boats installed in 2002. Much quicker to get away in these than the old ones you had to lower down with wires.
If you look closely you can see a supply boat closing. Must be hell to stay on your feet in one of those in those waves.
The so called Chirstmas Tree. This is the top of the well, I spent almost my hole trip checking if the drawings of the pipes from the x-mas tree to the production header was correct.
Oh, so you only came for russian photos? Hmm.. I have them, but there are so damn many. I'll try to post them later.

wow that is fantastically interesting! did you get to sneak off and fish? i'd like to give that emergency life-boat-thing a try! would feel like rollercoaster? hmmm...does anyone get sea sick there or what?

Dobre Ragnvald! Virke litt gøy på platform og. Maten ska visst vær go,så eg får holde meg på land. Ellers hadde eg endt opp som ein smultball. Tenkte å ha innflyttigs/bursdagsfest 2. eller 9. des. Passe de for deg? Vil jo ha den råeste partygutten som noen gang har gjestet russland me!!!! E de litt tysværselskap å skrive på norsk på denne bloggen av internasjonalt snitt?

Hey Kuntry! Glad you think so :-) Oh! I really wanted to, cause they have their own fishing spot, but nobody wanted to join me, so I'd thought I'd wait until next time :-) Hehe, yeah, tried the life boat at the safety course, it was just like a rollercoaster... Well, you sort of swing from side to side all the time, but on the floater rigs the movement can be exstreme, and then people get sea sick.
Haha, du tenke akkurat som meg. hvis eg hadde vært der 2 uker hadde eg åte meg ihjel eg og. Meget god mat og is 24/7 :-)
Hahaha, ikkje kall meg det, gir meg dårlige minner!!! 2. desember passe bra! kan kanskje til nøds greia 9. og, men det passe ikkje så bra.
Hihihi, å skriva på norsk her e som å snakka med ei russiske babushka i Petrosavodsk; alle utlendingar skjønne ingen ting, dei prøve å sei "eg skjønne ikkje norsk", men me snakke bare norsk tebake allikavel. hehe, neida går sikkert heilt fint. Det viktigaste e jo at eg skjønne det :-)
