In The Mountain, Preikestolen

OK, finally got my photos out. Here are some of them :-)
We drove directly from work at 15'00. Then took the ferry to Tau, 40 minutes. And the we had to drive for 25 minutes in order to get to the parking lot at the foot of the mountain.

After five minutes of walking you get to this nice small stoned road. Nice to have "mountain shoes"...

The first rest, and the first view point. Geir in front and my boss, Kjell Rune, in the back.

My boss(left) and Nada(right) on a wooden road across a swamp.

Give me some difficult terrain! :-D

Starting to get high. Nice view and an intersection.

This was an amazing view! Hehe, you can actually see the French girl way infront of us.

Jørn and the french girl.

!!! This was starting to get sort of ureal :-D

Nice view! We are getting close to "the pulpit".

Half a meter from a certain death...

Preikestolen!! (The Pulpit!!)

Haha, I had to get to the edge and look down :-D

A nice cracky edge.

The Expedition

Nice and stoney

-Do you see the bottom?

Beer time! One can fell to the ground and Geir had to save the beer comeing out of the hole :-p

Lysefjorden

Dogs, Beer and chicken

MEEEEEE!!!

Then, at 22'00, we sat down ordered a beer. We were all pleased that everyone had returned alive.

Today is saturday, have been to the recycling place and trown away old impregnated wood and two huge glass windows. My car could almost not carry the whole thing on the boggey.

Have fun!
Cheers!

Hei! Takk ska du ha!
Veldig misfornøyd med fargar og lys denna gången, men det går vel. Hørrte dåkke sko på fotballkamp. Kunne desverre ikkje bli med... Have fun og GO VARD!

WOW-WOW-WEE-WOW!!!!as borat would say!-just incredible! the 8th and ninth picture looks like you guyz are walkin on steak! hahahahaha!
incredible! amazing! 'tis eyes orgasms! hahahahaha!
so are you required to hike that as a bonding work-moment? what if you are a nature hater? or hike hater?
dang! i want that job of making the boardwalk!
wow! wow! wow!
thanks for sharing!

that picture of you on top of that huge cliff you titled "me"-definitely makes you look like a true viking! you needed a helmet with horn in 'em to make it perrrrfecto!

Yeah! :-D I almost said it like that when I got there.
It was pretty narrow some places; you could dissapear if you were unlucky while stumbling :-|
If you come to Norway, I definately recommend it :-D
No, we are not required to go hiking as a bonding thing :-) this was originally a "private" hiking trip that my boss and the technical assistent suggested. But in the end the whole trip was put on the company credit card. Probably as a team building thing. (That made the ones that didn't come along very envy. The said that they'd definately come along if they knew it would be free beer on top and afterwards...)
Haha, you're right! I'll bring my horn helmet next time.

PS: what do you think of changing the challange sceen to this place?

Awesome pics. Us Americans are too lazy to do anything that exciting. Maybe I'll make it over that way one day and you can show me how to live.

Hey Marie! Thanks!

Come on; you do a lot of exciting things :-) Just to mention one; THE MOON?!

But hey, come on over, and I'll show you :-D

hah! you don't think it's too distracting?....that would be a good scene (especially with a misty background) of one of us contemplating....meditating or practicing the skills. (this is turning out more like a movie kungfu scene! heheheh!)
if we fight here, we'd have to strap on a parachute pack...yikes! i'd rather sit, and eat bbq, and drinks beer-though the elevation probably would mess my head, and get me drunker...
yes...this will definitely go on my list of places i want to see before i kick the bucket.
haha!-too bad for those workers that didn't go...i wouldn't've want to miss it for the world!-so good on you and i bet you're happy you quit smoking,eh?)

You are right. It'd be a real esthetic experience with one person, two on the other hand would probably be over in two seconds. Hear hear to the beer and bbq!

Yeah, when you get that pirate ship and set course eastwards? You should hurry so you'll get there before the tourist have worn it all down...

Heh.. yeah, when I think of it; I'm very glad I quit smoking... Although, I almost start again every friday and saturday...

touris wearing it down?...it's the steak looking cliff face...what do they do? try and eat it?!?! hahahah!
smoking ain't worthe the starting....i quit for over a year...then i started having a clove cigarette once a week...now sadly i'm hooked again. (boo!)-i need a week off by myself so i could quit without being a bitch to people...then the physical addiction will be gone...the rest would only be mental addiction. though you end up doing alot of good things in replacement of sitting your ass down and smoking.
i'm those nice gurls that don't smoke around nonsmokers...or kids or pregnant ladiez...well! except if i were outside.
sorry, i'm part of the problem in global warming...for this, i shall flog meself with a stick...
ps...now you have a slight advantage in your tae-kwondo ass kickin...but my spatula style is quite wicked! HAH!

No no no.. they do not eat it of course! But many have the tendency to jump up and down when they are at the edge. This makes the whole thing tilt, and it can evetually fall down. Very bad...
Sorry to hear you started smoking again. Looking at the history, I think I might start again too, but hopefully not.... Why don't you start eating licorice agian? :-) Didn't you do that the last time?
Well, I think doing a lot of sports keep me from starting again, I'm thanking my self everytime I finish one session...
Haha, Yeah I might have an advantage, but I need more than that to avoid the lethal spatula style :-| (You mean spatula like the spade you cook with right?)

But I forgot to tell you I'm still slave to nikotin though, just not sigarettes anymore. But hope to quit that too. :-p

Hahaha! I sound like a health freak! But guess we all have to die some day.

heheheheh! nicotine patch?! or chewing tobacco (which is so damn unattractive! my roomate tried to get me to chew but i just couldn't...what's the point of putting something in your mouth and not swallow!?)-yes chewing licorice root would help...i don't know where to get some around here though.-i don't like any other licorice...YAK!
gotta die sometime, sure, but if we can help it, we might as well die well.....(grin).
lookit this! i've put so much comment on your post...what a freak!

Hehe, no chewing tobacco..., that has to suck, but something called snus. It's a swedish tobacco product that you put under your upper lip. snus. I try to "forget" the box at work so I keep the usage low :-P But yeah, hope to quit some day....

Remember now that when I went to San Francisco I had to take with me five bags of licorice to my friend. It's his favourite, but everyone there hated it and therefor no one sold it...

Haha! Don't worry; I welcome every comment with open arms!

chews! you're the rednek of norway, eh?!?! HAHAH!
as for open arms...must be like a venus fly trap....kapow! watch the shadow kick...very lethal shin crusher!
have you seen "hero"?

Haha.. for god's sake no!! And no chewing!! Just put it under the upper lip!! :-D

Venus Fly Trap? You mean like an orchid? kapow; then we eat them?

Ooo.. low shadow kick.. :-| I've seen it been used once.. the poor fella would never walk again...

Seen Hero! I like alot :-) Seen Crouching tiger, hidden dragon?

got it in my dvd collectiion.... Love it!-though i want to know where she landed when she took off like that.
have you seen iron monkey?
or know the chinese martial arts wushu?-jetli is the five times championship in china...(saw it in the late night talk show)...too cool!-i wonder if those hair style are still used today...i'd like to grow the pencil thin chinese man moustache....would go well with my hair-but it might make me too popular in society, eh? HAHAHAH!

Hey!
Haven't seen Iron Monkey, but after reading about it I really want to. But I'd be suprised if I find it in Norway, but then again internet might help :-P
The best fighting movie I've ever seen is the Tai movie "Ong Bak". Wow... Not poetic like the hong kong movies, and unfortunately it might have one or two scenes with that silly hong kong "funny" stuff.... but still one of the best.

Hahaha! You can or wish you could? You go girl! :-{D

i'll be putting fertilizer to see if i could....HAH!-
