Back in Stavanger

Hi! Came back from Bergen yesterday, quite tired and glad it was a national holyday today... Had a great weekend! Board and lodging at Erik, 25th birthday party down town. Excellent! As my camera is dead, I have no photos, but think my cousin has some.

Well, got my naigbour to transfer my photos from my SD-card over to a CD, so I could upload them to the internet. So here is some photos from my last two journeys, Bergen two weeks ago and Ulvik last week:

The Saturday two weeks ago was actually "the day of the buekorps" which is a thing that only excists in Bergen. Boys and girls walk around marching with play rifles and drumming on their drums all day. At the end you get crazy in the head because of all the loud noise(!!) PS: the rain you see there is also typical of Bergen.

As I didn't have much to do while my cousin was at work I got this idea that I would walk to this land mark called "Fløyen" from the bottom and up.

Took me 45 minutes without stops, up hill all the way. Actually very exhausting...

Well, it was me, the American and the Japanese tourists. Had to take a self portrate. And give me a breake.. I had been drinking a lot last night and didn't get much sleep :-p

After a well deserved cup of coffee and a big glas of water, I started the descent. Here you can see the tram that goes all the way, but why take it when you can walk yeah? :-p

Look! Other people! Was about the only ones I met.

The tram again.

My cousin, the manager of this cinema kiosk; Lene.

Ulvik last week: Anything more national romantic than this is hard to get. Tideman and Gude made their famous "Bryllupsferd i Hardanger" here.

Look! A cruise ship entering the fiord.

The cruise ship anchored and the passangers gone ashore.

At work now to verify some drawing updates for the Stafjord C platform. Nice way to get a lot of timeoff for later use :-)

Will go home in an hour and buy some fried noodles at the Chinese take away.

Have fun!

Comments:
Oh, they wear interesting clothing! Is it a traditional cloth in Norway? Cute and cool:-)
Anyway, Norway is soo beautiful☆
Blue and Green!
I wonder English is an offical language in Noerway?

Hey Erika! Well, it not actually Norwegian traditional clothing, but a traditional uniform for the city of Bergen :) They use many kinds of uniforms, but mostly black ones. This green one was much nicer.
Yeah, very beautiful, and Hardanger is said to be one of the most parts of the country.
English is not an official language in Norway, but most people speak it more or less. Official languages in Norway is "Bokmål" and "New Norwegian". Both sound the same..
Have a nice day!
