For some reason I didn't get to sleep yesterday until very late, my eyes still hasn't opened all the way up.. but.. managed to get some breakfast before I had to check out.

As you might have understood from my prevous post, there are three things that matters out here: 12 hour work, 4 hour eat and 8 hour sleep. Oh, sorry; of course I have to mention the 24 hour with safety.

Waiting for the helicopter back to Bergen/Flesland. It leaves in half an hour.

Will go up and watch the safety presentation now.

Argh.. why can't I learn. I need sleep!

Last full day. I'll have to finish my work, and I think I'll manage with a good margin.

I told you yesterday that the weather had changed and that is was raining and blowing, well.. one hour later it was sunshine and wind still.
(When it's talking to you, talk of the weather will do. -Norwegian saying)

By the way; here is a photo of the legs of the platform I'm visiting. My stepfather was actually involved in the making of it in 1979.

Yawn... tired today... Got up at 0545 as yesterday, but what sleep I didn't need yesterday I needed today, and I almost went back to sleep unvoulantarily.

The weather suddenly changed yesterday from partly sunny to rain and wind at 50 knots. Luckily I was working mostly under "roof".

When I came here two days ago I flew for the first time a Super Puma:



Normally we fly a Sikorsky S-92 like this, but.. there had been some problems.



Stationed out on the platform they have a Sikorsky S-76C+:



This a SAR helicopter(search and rescue), which they also use for personel shutteling between the platforms. I took this from SFB to SFA last time cause they had overbooked the platform for the night. Much fun to fly! (Like airwolf :-P)

Hi! I'm now sitting at the office for inspection at Statfjord B. Very nice weather outside compared to normal. Came yesterday after waiting 6 hour for a delayed helicopter... boring!



Will be here until friday. And then I'll hopefully meet Erik in Bergen the three hours I'll wait for my return flight to Stavanger.

OK, time to go out and work. Climb around in the pipe jungle down there.

PS: My coputer mother board died saturday. Seven days after my three year next day garantee ended. #¤%&§!

PPS: A seawater pipe just got ripped off cause of corotion, water everywhere!! Who needs to go to the swim park?

The sun is shining and I'm inside.

Now the china photos is near by. I'll start with this short movie showing the view from inside a Jeep grand cherokee. Very bumpy road, very bumpy... I'll never complain about Norwegian roads again after being a passanger on the main road from Yibin to Gubai.
