The drunken story

Yep, kind of happy I didn't post anything in my blog last night when I got home from the city. I was very close to sending some mails too. Good thing I didn't...

Tomorrow I will drive to Stord again. This time to discuss terms and get an introduction to the job. And hopefully they will call from AKOP too... sigh, it's all I can think about.. Next weekend I will know :-D

Time goes by

Ok, so now I walking around hopeing that they will offer me a job at AKOP beginning of next week. And I mean REALLY hoping for it... Yeah have got this job offer at S.O., but even though I should, I don't feel that happy about it. The job isn't that relevant either. And people; Stord? LOL, I should be glad and I am working on it. It will either way be a great challange.
Got a six-pack in the trunk of my car. Hope it hasn't turned into ice when I take it out later to night. Will be eating pizza at Karen M. and Thomas to night before we go to Kristine for some partying.
Wish you all a nice weekend!
Cheers!

The first

Got my first job offer this morning! But stupid me had to be oversleeping and was totally gone when I picked up the phone... stupid me.... sigh. Think I was gonna meet up there monday at 14... but there was mentioned something about tuesday as well, but was that just an option? Crap, I am not sure if I have the right day... Will have to call and say it like it is: "Hello! Sorry, but I was totally gone when you rang. Did we say monday at 14?"

Change of plans

The department leader called me and asked me if it was ok if we porsponed the interview to 11 o'clock since the technical leader had to go to the dentist.
I said that is was ok.
One hour more sleep.

hihihihi!

Yep, as you can interpret from the headline I'm very excited at the moment ^^

AKOP just called me and said that they wanted another interview with me. Tomorrow. At 10.00. =D

Well, it will be an early morning tomorrow as the trip takes two and a half hour....

The guy from the recruiting agency called now as well, and said that the manager at Innova wanted to call later today or tomorrow to ask a bit about my education (wasn't really exact what they were looking for, so needed to know more about it).

Will go out and post the visitor card I got at Aker Stord yesterday. And buy a battery. And visit a friend and drink coffee. You know how it goes.

Tonight it is again time for sporting in rossabøhallen! Jippii! :-)

*slap*

How can one be so incredible stupid that one failes the important interview question number one?!

Mr.S: "Technically, what thing would you say that you are best at?"

Me: "Hmm.. what thing I am best at.." "Well,..."

Yes I have learned, tomorrow I analyse my education. Write down what stupid thing I am best at. Then I will learn it. *sigh*

The rest of the interview went ok. The job looked interesting.

Ok, time for bed.

Nighty night

Stord

Tomorrow I will start the day with digging a trench for future drainage of the area infront of our entrance. In case there will be a flooding that is. Looking forward to digging through tons of stones and thick roots.

Then I will leave for Stord at 11.30. An island north of Haugesund. There I will discuss my future with one of the managers at Stord Offshore.

Then I will drive home.

Good night!

While waiting

While waiting for my professor to call me back (he was in a meeting and was supposed to call back when it was over), check out this: http://www.youtube.com/watch.php?v=Gi2CfuqcUGE. You can remember David Hasselhoff from baywatch and so? Well, this is one of his music videos. Enjoy :-p

AkerKværnerOffshorePartner still maybe

Called the human recourses girl just now, and she said they were still in the process of choosing the candidate for the maintenance engineer. But I had to tip them if I got a definite offer.

Ok, maybe AKOP, maybe Innova, very likely a temperary job at Stord Offshore although I haven't called them yet.

Don't feel that I go to work on thursday as long as I still might get this AKOP job...... Stress.

Can't get a hold of my references. Need to send them in a mail this afternoon.

We are having, freely translated, stick meat for dinner today. Or; sheep rib boiled with sticks in a pan. Mmm... Hungry.

Todays music tip: Devendra Banhart with the album Cripple Crow. (nice folk-rock'ish)

Innova

This recruiting person had a good feeling about me and wanted to recommend me to this firm for a job as a project manager: http://www.innova.no/

Do any of you know anything about this company? Good idea? This is scary: PROJECT MANAGER!

A cake and a job?

My cousin celebrated his tenth birthday. Lots of cake and coffee, and chocolate.

Yum!

Very nice gathering too.

My uncle asked me if I wanted a job at the "ormen lange" field arranged by Stord Offshore. Sounds fun! We went up to their house and we made a phone call to this guy that had asked him earlier if he knew a master who needed a job. I will call another guy tomorrow and discuss the whole thing. But before I can do that I will call AKOP and ask if they have reached a decition about the job in Stavanger. And yeah, got to do a phone interview with this recruting company at 12...

Played soccer just now. At nine there was a penalty to be taken, I was thinking of what side to jump to. Then the flood lights shut down. Blah, the biggest disappointment of the weekend. Well, besides the moment I came in to the livingroom at this party I attended friday. "We have just ordered a taxi and we are going to the city!" (even though we all had agreed that this was supposed to be an all nighter the day before).

Well, half sweaty and half exhausted I will no go and shower.

Oh no! Just realized that it is friday the 13th! Be careful out there!

Norwegian Censorship

For some reason I wanted to post a photo of my bloody shirt the other day. And I wanted to compare it to one of the controversial advertisements by UCoB in the early 90's. But then again it was no point.

While looking for this particular photo, I also came across the other photos from the same campaign. And some of them are excellent! Remember it all ended in a Norwegian ban of these ads. Probably for a reason. So if you are easily offended, stop here.

What to look forward to

After a slightly bloody and hurtful experience sunday evening on the soccer field, I'm again starting to look forward to wednesdays sport evening in the gym at Rossabø school.

Sights as this is not rare at these evenings:

Here we have a warrior who gave all he had (and lost, I think). It's Tommy by the way :-D

Good night! Off to bed

Heisann all ihopa!

Hi
Long time since I've written anything here now. Here is a small update.

Driving over the mountain left a thick layer of salt on my car, which also contributed to the total destruction of my left wiper.

Our christmas tree! Pure tree, no decorations. The decorating we did an hour later. It was cut down in our own "forest" by the way...

Chistmas dinner! Mostly pork. Tasted like heaven. (Yes heaven taste like pork)

Had a friend visiting. We are skiing on Hardangervidda.

Nice view up in the mountain.

Nothing like being sweaty on the mountain with a hang over the third day of christmas.
