Modern Life is Rubbish

I was on two conserts yesterday, and drank too much beer. Suffered trough language course and I'm now on my way home.

I'm by the way not sure any longer if I've done anything stupid.

Checked if my Mastergrade had come today.

It had.

Can't drink as much alcohold this weekend as I would like to as I'm going to meet my Mother, Sister and my grandmother tonight.

I'm not sure what to think of my grade as I am sort of in a non-stressable state I got in to after being here two weeks.

I can't stand sleeping in a sleeping bag when I got this BIG bed in my room.. I'm tired today.
Got home around 02 o'clock after having walked all the way from Warschauerstrasse because the U1 had stopped going twenty minutes before I arrived at the station. A good walk, and all the punkers had left the street about then. Warschauer strasse is not actually a safe place at night..
Today I will go home and read some german grammar. I need it.. And I need to take a day or night off from drinking. If you are with germans you sort of drink every day.. but then again it's not like in Norway where you get wasted every time.

Ok, I will post some photos soon. Got internet at the flat, but haven't had the time to do it yet.

This has been a great weekend.

I got a room this apartment down in Kreutzberg. It's excellent! 24m^2, fully furnished with BIG bed, sofa, desk, two chairs, a big shelf(incl. books and cds), TV, dvd, VHS and a stereo. Have only met one of the two people that I live with, Rodriges from Chile, great guy. And on top of it all, I got it all for 250 Euro, from yesterday till 22. of october.

On saturday I was with this group of many nationalities who went out to eat and to drink. We ended up in this occupied building, actually it was a five stories high building where half of it had been torn down. It was an experience, the people that lived there where all artists, and the had made some of the floors into bars and cinemas. Very nice :)

Today I'm actually skipping class to go to Park Sanssouci in Potsdam with a german girl I've gotten to know these last four days. Dr. Steffen Paul, my german teacher will not like it, I know :P

Ok, I've now gotten a room in an appartment, and I think soon I'll be able to have visitors. See you soon!

No, I'm not depressed anymore, going to look at an appartment to night, had an excellent evening yesterday ;-D Hope it'll last..

Well, going out for a cup of coffee. I've heard that this will be the last day of sunshine for a loong while, so think I'd better go out and get as much of it as I can :)

Think I am starting to feel a bit depressed about my situation.

I think it has to do with the fact that I've been living in a hostel for two weeks now. I was actually given two days for free since I'd been staying there so long. I am going to look at an apartment on sunday. Hope I'll get it.

I'll go to the language course now.

Wohoo.... Had my first night alone in the six bed room last night. Don't actually know if I perferred it..

At the reception/bar/brekfast"outlet"/storageroom/internetcafe:
Me: I'd like to extend my stay for two days if it's ok.
Punk chick: Ok, 32 Euro please. Are you sad they are splitting up..?
Me: Excuse me..?
P.C: Are you sad..(pointing at my Gluecifer t-shirt.)
Me: Oh! Yeah, very sad. Actually I missed their last norwegian consert, but then I saw they were playing here in the start of october.
P.C: You should stay in touch then, cause I know them. CP and BM have vacation in LA, then they will come here.
Me: Yeah, I will (....)

I will now look if the 6'WG is still awailable.

Picture this: I'm waiting for the underground that is taking me home. On the other side of the tracks this girl is standing. She smiles at me, I smile back. Then she waves at me. Then her underground train arrives and my underground train arrives. Then she is gone.

Kind of like a start or a end of a movie isn't it?


Well, today I said good bye to my two good friends from Stuttgart. Will I see them again? Probably not. But guess that is the way it goes in a hostel.

Rang the girl who wanted to rent out her room yesterday. She had unfortunately just rented it out, but if I liked to live there for three weeks after the 15.11.05, she'd be more than happy if I'd call her back.

Shrug.. I wanted that room.. :-(

Well, have to start looking again :)

Today I went straight to the EasyEverything internet cafe to look for apartments. Somehow I have gotten this block against phoneing the people that offer them.. Guess it has something to do with the lack of language skills.

Also I walked throught the whole TierGarten(big park in the center of Berlin), and sat down on the lawn infront of the ReichTag-building. Niiice :) Nice weather today, sun and 25 degrees.

When am I gonna find a place that lets me upload my photos??

Well, will go "home" and practice some german "rental" words.

Been here now for six days and I've decided that even though I won't be let into the university I'll be here for two or three months to try to take a language diploma or something. Then I also have to find an place to live, think I'll perfer a Wohngemeinshaft, or a flat with other people.

Hoped to go to a match at the Olympia Staduim, but there isn't any until next weekend. Also went to a flea marked, pretty cool, lots of unuseful things like gas masks from the soviets to a tarmack(asfalt?) chrushing machine.

Have a horrible cold as well, or have had it for three days, starting to be fed up with it..

I have now enrolled to a German Language course and will attent it for the first time to morrow.

Looks OK. My teachers name is "Doctor Schults" :-° And maybe I'll get to know some of the others foreigners attending it.

Most of the people I've got to know have already left the country. Well, except the two girls from Stuttgart, who are leaving to morrow.

It is hot as hell down here! 27 degrees today. I'm used to 12, so it has been a bit of heat shock for me :-P
